    I wish that every plant based vegan athlete would read this book It covers everything you need to know and then some to ensure you re getting all of the essential nutrients to keep performing at a high level I also really appreciate that they go into detail about how much males and females need, as males have different nutritional needs than females I haven t seen many books do this and I am really glad they did.

    The absolute best sports nutrition book I ve ever read hands down Being a RN health mental coach to combat sports athletes I needed to become educated on plant based nutrition In the wake of the Netflix documentary and Joe Rogan podcast my easily influenced fighters are jumping on the bandwagon believing it is easy and will magically control their weight.I was reluctant to purchase any plant based book as I am not interested in propaganda or agendas I just want the science This book delivers just that, the facts, the science and transparency No ridiculous or exaggerated claims are made, they acknowledge the extreme limitations of studies, and most importantly, there is no shaming of carnivores and no judgement of any personal choices.My overall impression of these authors is that they simply wanted to educate people using facts and science and to provide clarity in a very cloudy debate They advocate for each person to make the best informed decision for what works best for them No nutritional plan is universal It is not a one size fits all.While this is written specifically for athletes, the majority of the information provided is applicable to the general public A definite must read for anyone interested in truly understanding the plant based world.Well done
