I enjoyed the first book and while this one is well written and unfolds at a good pace, it is somewhat mediocre.Very little happens, there is no tension, some repetition another appearance in Animal Court similar to book one , and the d nouement an anti climax.Being used to John Grisham s lengthy mainstream novels this is also much too short The style and narrative are probably ideal for the intended young adult audience but not so much for older, long term fans.

I started reading this book last night after finishing the first book yesterday Like the first book in the series I found this an easy read and is written in a light hearted manner, but I was expecting this as the book is aimed at the younger generation. Is was nice to see that the first sentence immediately ties this book with the first in the series and from the last sentence it appears we now have an idea on what it is going to happen in the third book of the series I must admit I do like this continuation The first book does set the scene and starts to give us an idea on the character s and this book gives us further information on the character s I can t wait to get to know them further in the future books This book does have a very good story line and is full of the usual Grisham s twists and turns that do keep you hooked.I would recommend this book to anyone

I was looking for holiday reading and without reading the information because it was by John Grisham I bought the first one of these and enjoyed it but thought it was a bit short It ended on a bit of a cliffhanger so I bought this one expecting it to follow on It didn t Then I realised they were books for older children presumably why they are short I did enjoy them both though and if they reduce the third one which actually follows the first I will buy it.

Rather long winded as if the author was stretching it out That made it rather hard going I did finish it though.

In essence not a complicated story line, however the two main characters, Theo and April are interesting persons Theo wants to be a lawyer, or maybe a judge, April an artist Bit of an unconclusive ending.

Rather tired, disappointing follow up to the first book.very weak story with a lame conclusion Wouldn t surprise me if a thirteen year old actually wrote it

I have read and enjoyed most of Grisham s books but some like The Racketeer are outstanding, whilst others not so I read the first Theodore Boone book and was impressed but not enthralled, this one seems to follow the same trend I feel that with the actual violence element really watered down that these books are mainly aimed at the children s market I guessed the plotline fairly early on and whilst the story itself is most intrigueing and captivating, something is missing.

This book was very readable but not as good as book 1 I was a little disappointed that the last chapters were actually the beginning of those in book 1.

My 12 year old son loves the series and can t get enough He has finished all of them and keeps asking when the next will be available I loved John Grisham books but thought it would be too early to introduce his normal series to a 12 year old even though he is a keen and able reader This was a good way of introducing him to the author

I m a big fan of John Grisham s work and only tried this series because of that I do not generally care for teenage fiction but this story is a little gem It is relatively gentle spoiler alert and quite a comforting tale Don t expect earth shattering revelations and you will certainly not be disappointed I will definitely continue with the series.
